The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
